The Los Angeles Rams have re-signed defensive end Morgan Fox.
Originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Rams in 2016 out of Colorado State-Pueblo, Fox became a restricted free agent at the start of the new league year after his one-year deal the club expired on March 18. Although he missed the 2018 season due to injury, he still amassed 42 total tackles, 4.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and one safety across the 36 games he appeared in during the 2016, 2017 and 2019 seasons combined.
To make room for Fox, the Rams have released defensive tackle Tanzel Smart. A 2017 sixth-round pick out of Tulane, Smart produced 20 total tackles and one pass breakup across 31 games in a Rams uniform.
