3 Keys to Winning for the Rams against the Jets in Week 16

The Rams wrap up their 2024 regular season road schedule with a visit to MetLife Stadium to take on the Jets. Kickoff on Sunday from East Rutherford, N.J. is scheduled for 10 a.m. pacific time on CBS.

Ahead of the contest, here are 3 Keys to Winning for the Rams, presented by The Law Offices of Jacob Emrani (CallJacob.com).

1) Limit the impact of Wilson and Adams

The Jets' wide receiver tandem of Garrett Wilson and Davante Adams will keep the Rams' secondary busy on Sunday, given how capable each are of going over 100 receiving yards in any given game. Adams had all 198 of his receiving yards and both of his touchdowns in the second half last week against Jacksonville, which goes to show that even if one of them has a quiet start to the game, it doesn't prevent them from coming up big later on.

2) Frustrate Rodgers early

Getting quarterback Aaron Rodgers out of sync is easier said than done – just ask any defensive player who's gone up against him in his 20-year career. It will be critical for the Rams' pass rush to get after him early and often, especially as New York's offensive line seems to have found some chemistry and footing after dealing with multiple injuries throughout the season.

3) Carry over run game momentum

The Rams have leaned on running back Kyren Williams extensively over the last three weeks and been rewarded with their three best rushing performances of the season – 156 against the Saints, 137 against the Bills and 142 against the 49ers.

Although the Jets' 4.1 yards per carry allowed is tied with the Titans for sixth-lowest allowed, they are coming off surrendering 136 rushing yards to the Jaguars last week and have given up at least 112 in 9 of 14 games this season.
