The Rams host the Cardinals in primetime Saturday night at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood. Tune in starting at 5 p.m. on NFL Network nationally, as well as CBS2 locally.
Ahead of the contest, here are 3 Keys to Winning for the Rams, presented by The Law Offices of Jacob Emrani (CallJacob.com).
1) Don't let Marvin Harrison Jr. become a gamebreaker
While the Rams have understandably put that Week 2 game far behind them, the rookie wide receiver's explosive performance in the first matchup should still be top of mind heading into Saturday's game with how quickly it allowed the Cardinals to separate.
Of course, a key difference from the first meeting is that this time around, the Rams will have cornerback Darious Williams healthy, and a secondary as a whole that has stabilized since then.
2) Minimize James Conner's impact
The Cardinals running back is currently listed as questionable to play with a knee injury. If he does play, he can threaten a defense both in the run game and the pass game. He had 122 rushing yards in Week 2 against the Rams, and while he had only one catch for two yards, he still has 45 receptions (third-most on the team) for 410 receiving yards on the season.
3) Maximize possessions
While it's important every week, Arizona has created the eighth-fewest takeaways in the league entering Week 17. Given how explosive the Cardinals offense can be, it's critical to not only protect the ball, but play a clean game offensively overall in order to take advantage of that.
