The Rams look to get back on the winning track with a visit to Foxborough, Mass. to take on the Patriots at Gillette Stadium in Week 11. Kickoff on Sunday is scheduled for 10 a.m. pacific time on FOX.
Ahead of the contest, here are 3 Keys to Winning for the Rams, presented by The Law Offices of Jacob Emrani (CallJacob.com).
1) Give Stafford a clean pocket to work with
It was evident that 60 percent of last week's offensive line starters were getting back into live game action for the first time in several weeks. Whatever that combination looks like at New England, pass protection will be critical against a Patriots defensive front that sacked Bears quarterback Caleb Williams nine times last week and has the length and speed to be disruptive.
2) Establish the run
Besides pass protection, another way to keep the pressure off Stafford is with an efficient run game. New England allows 130.5 rushing yards per game – 10th-most in the NFL – so taking advantage of that will be important.
3) Create and capitalize and takeaways
Patriots rookie quarterback Drake Maye has thrown three interceptions over his last two games. The Rams' defense has proven capable of generating turnovers that turn into points, whether it be defensive scores or setting up the offense to score. Doing so will help Los Angeles achieve the complementary football that has shown up in its victories this season.
