5 players to watch: Rams at Chargers, 2024 Preseason Week 2

The Rams' 2024 preseason schedule continues with a road game against the Chargers at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif. on Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:05 p.m. pacific time on Rams affiliate ABC7.

Here are five players fans should be watching during the contest:

An easy choice after his performance last week, and Whittington followed it up with a solid joint practice with the Cowboys on Wednesday.

With head coach Sean McVay on Thursday saying Jimmy Garoppolo won't play on Saturday, attention once again turns toward Bennett – especially to see how he responds after overcoming throwing four interceptions to throw the game-winning touchdown in the 2024 preseason opener.

McClendon has been getting reps at left tackle after initially repping at right tackle. It was A.J. Arcuri who got the start at left tackle against the Cowboys last week, but it wouldn't be surprising if the Rams looked to maintain consistency and keep McClendon in that spot against the Chargers.

Like Whittington, Davis gets the nod as a player to watch because of what he showed last week (team-high-tying six total tackles and 1 QB hit).

McCullough was right up there with Davis in terms of production in Week 1 of the preseason (5 total tackles, tied for second-most).
