THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – Rams WR Robert Woods returned to practice Thursday and rejoined the team after dealing with a personal issue that made him inactive for last Sunday's game against the Bears.
Woods said he will continue to keep the personal issue private, but indicated it was a family matter.
"Football is my job," Woods said. "My family is over my job."
Woods thanked the Rams organization for its support as he tended to the family matter.
"Big time," Woods said, when asked how L.A. players and coaches supported him during his time away from the team. "Just being there, allowing me to just be supportive of my family. Everyone in our organization reached out, supported my decision, supported me through this and and still do."
The former USC standout said he plans to play against the Ravens, but reiterated his approach of taking things one day at a time.
"Came to practice today, first day back, it felt good to be back out there, being back with the guys and the team," Woods said. "Just taking it day by day, working towards being prepared for Monday night."
