INGLEWOOD, Calif. – Hollywood Park, the largest urban mixed-use mega development under construction in the Western United States, today announced continued momentum for its retail district with three new tenants slated to open in Fall 2024 and early 2025: Martin's Cocina y Cantina, The Meeting Spot and Phenix Salon Suites.
In addition, Hollywood Park will be the site for the World Debut of CineVita, opening on December 3 for a limited run through April 2025. CineVita will be home to For The Record , a genre-defying, immersive experience that brings iconic films to life through music, performed by stars of record, stage, and screen. The CineVita is more than a venue—it is a pop arts destination, meticulously crafted by five generations of master tent builders in Belgium. Featuring 3,000 hand-carved mirrors, hundreds of stained glass windows, and finely detailed wood carvings on every staircase and luxury booth seat, this awe-inspiring 15,000-square-foot space transports audiences back to the golden age of cinema. As the largest of its kind ever built, the CineVita Spiegeltent will provide the perfect stage for For The Record's unique brand of live entertainment.
These announcements were part of the Opening Celebration for The Shops at Hollywood Park that took place on Thursday, September 19, which featured the development's newest retail partners, eateries, event experiences, DJ sets by 1500 Sound Academy and live performances. Hollywood Park is owned, being developed and operated by Los Angeles Rams Owner/Chairman E. Stanley Kroenke . The 300-acre site consists of a retail area, office space, sophisticated residences, public parks, a lake, and premier entertainment venues. The mixed-use development is all linked by walkable paseos and plazas and centered around the 3.1 million square-foot SoFi Stadium and adjacent YouTube Theater.
The vibrant, all-day destination, located at the corner of Prairie Avenue and Century Boulevard in Inglewood, is already home to Cosm, Cinépolis Luxury Cinemas, JD Sports, Iconix Fitness, and Residency Art Gallery. It was previously announced that Google's Code Next Lab, a community-based program that works with high schoolers to cultivate the next generation of Black, Latinx and Indigenous tech leaders, is coming to Hollywood Park and is currently under construction.
"Hollywood Park continues to add exciting attractions and retail establishments as the true potential for this vibrant community gathering place is being realized," said Otto Maly, President of Kroenke Holdings. "We are pleased to share the newest operators opening their doors here and look forward to giving our guests an even greater variety of offerings when they visit this unparalleled place to live, work and play."
Opening this fall is The Meeting Spot, an open-air food and beverage destination in the heart of the retail district. Featuring a 160-seat outdoor patio, The Meeting Spot will offer a unique blend of high-quality casual dining, inventive cocktails, and a laid-back atmosphere perfect for any occasion.
"We are thrilled to become a part of the vibrant Inglewood community," said Glenn Green, founder of The Meeting Spot. "Our goal is to create a welcoming space where everyone can come together, enjoy exceptional food and drinks, and make lasting memories. We proudly embrace a local-first mentality and are excited to welcome both longtime residents and newcomers to our neighborhood."
Mexican restaurant and lounge Martin’s Cocina y Cantina will open its second location at Hollywood Park in early 2025, marking an exciting expansion for the Martin family and the Inglewood community they have proudly served for over 40 years. "Our family has always been deeply connected to Inglewood," said co-owner Christian Martin. "Opening our second Martin's Cocina y Cantina at Hollywood Park is not just a business venture; it's a dream come true."
"We are proud to be part of Inglewood's transformation and growth," said owner Esaul Martin Jr. "Our new space at Hollywood Park will allow us to continue serving our loyal customers while inviting new guests to experience a taste of Mexico delivered by an Inglewood-proud family."
In addition, California-based salon suite franchise, Phenix Salon Suites, will open a 15,653-square-foot space featuring 82 suites for salon professionals in early 2025. The company's largest franchisee, Kevin Davis, partnered with LL Cool J to own and operate multiple locations throughout the East Coast and the Los Angeles market, including this new location at Hollywood Park. Salon suites will be equipped with upscale amenities including a styling chair, shampoo chair, two cabinets, a hair dryer and a shampoo bowl that hooks directly onto the sink. The salon essentials are designed to meet each professional's basic needs while providing them the opportunity to customize their suites, set their own hours, and operate their businesses as sole proprietors.
"A balanced tenant mix at Hollywood Park ensures the project is serving the local community, on-site residents and event attendees," said retail leasing agent Jack Nathan of Kennedy Wilson Brokerage. "Food and beverage offerings such as Martin's Cantina y Cocina and The Meeting Spot bring energy and activation to the project while the addition of Phenix Salon Suites caters to daily needs. With Iconix, Cinepolis and Cosm, the synergistic co-tenancy we are striving for is being realized and much more is to come."
As a city within a city, when complete, Hollywood Park will include up to five million square feet of creative office space, an exceptional retail district reaching up to 890,000 square feet, a 300-room hotel, and up to 2,500 sophisticated new residences. The expansive outdoor-oriented districts will border the 12-acre Lake Park while being interlaced with a total 25 acres of tree-lined public parks and open space.
Hollywood Park's retail component first opened in 2023 with Cinépolis Luxury Cinemas, the first movie theater in Inglewood in nearly 30 years. Residency Art Gallery, a platform for artists of color, opened shortly thereafter. The space also hosts weekly events for the community, including Hollywood Park Moves, Presented by Cedars-Sinai, a free HIIT workout class, as well as the Farm Habit Farmers' Market, which brings local vegetables, just-picked berries, artisanal breads, hummus, pastries, and an assortment of handmade gifts to Inglewood. Both events attract hundreds of people to Hollywood Park every Saturday.
