Riding a three-game win streak, the Rams will look to carry that momentum through Monday Night Football against the Dolphins in Week 10. Kickoff from SoFi Stadium on Monday, November 11 is scheduled for 5:15 p.m. PT on ESPN.
In advance of the contest, here is your First Look at Rams-Dolphins, presented by Verizon.
Notable Dolphins additions
- Selected RB Jaylen Wright in the third round of this year's NFL Draft: The rookie out of Tennessee has only seen action when one of De'Von Achane or Raheem Mostert has missed time due to injury, but he brings 4.38 40-yard dash speed to an already-fast Miami backfield.
- Signed S Jordan Poyer to a 1-year deal in March: Manning the third level of the Dolphins' defense alongside Jevon Holland, the former Bills safety has 40 total tackles and one pass defensed while starting all seven games so far.
Top performers in Week 9
QB Tua Tagovailoa completed 25 of 28 pass attempts for 231 yards and 2 touchdowns in Miami's 30-27 last-second loss to Buffalo (kicker Tyler Bass converted a 61-yard field goal for the Bills).
Achane led the Dolphins backfield with 12 carries for 63 yards and 1 touchdown; he also added 8 catches for 58 yards and 1 touchdown as a target in the passing game.
WR Tyreek Hill led Miami's receivers with a team-high 80 receiving yards on 4 receptions.
DB Jalen Ramsey recorded an interception for the Dolphins defense, while LB Anthony Walker Jr. paced the unit with 10 total tackles.
On special teams, K Jason Sanders made both of his field goal attempts and all 3 of his extra point attempts; P Jake Bailey's lone punt went for 37 yards.
Early storylines to watch, and what they mean for the Rams
After Tagovailoa entered concussion protocol due to a hit he took in Week 2 against the Bills, Miami went 1-3 without him and scored 40 total points. Prior to his return, the Dolphins had the lowest-scoring offense (11.7 points per game) in the league.
Miami is starting to regain its footing on offense with Tagovailoa back in the fold.
Over their last two games, the Dolphins have put up 27 points, with the Tagovailoa-led passing offense looking more like what the rest of the NFL was accustomed to seeing. In turn, it's going to present a Rams defense that has gained confidence over the last three weeks with one of its toughest challenges this season from a personnel and schematic standpoint.
The secondary will face one of the top receiving duos in the league in Hill and Jaylen Waddle, while the defensive front will be up against arguably the fastest backfield in the NFL given the speed of Achane, Mostert and Wright. On top of that, the Dolphins are annually near at the top of the league in motion usage, something the unit as a whole will have to account for.
