The Rams (0-1) are headed to Arizona (0-1) for a road game against the Cardinals at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, in Week 2. Kickoff on Sunday from State Farm Stadium is scheduled for 1:05 p.m. PT on FOX.
In advance of the contest, here is your First Look at Rams-Cardinals:
Notable Cardinals additions
- Selected WR Marvin Harrison Jr. fourth overall in this year's NFL Draft: The Ohio State product gave QB Kyler Murray a new go-to target in the passing game upon arrival and was widely regarded as the best receiver in this year's draft class.
- Selected DL Darius Robinson in 27th overall in this year's NFL Draft: An anticipated difference-maker for Arizona's defensive line, Robinson was placed on Injured Reserve on Aug. 27 with a calf injury.
Top performers in Week 1
Murray completed 21 of 31 pass attempts (67.7%) for 162 yards with 1 touchdown.
Murray was also Arizona's leading rusher with 57 yards on five attempts; James Conner was a close second with 16 carries for 50 yards and 1 touchdown.
WR Greg Dortch led all Cardinals receivers with 6 receptions for 47 yards.
ILB Kyzir White paced Arizona's defense with 11 total tackles.
On special teams, K Matt Prater made 2 of 2 field goal attempts and 2 of 2 extra point attempts, while P Blake Gillikin averaged 39 yards per punt across 2 punts.
Early storylines to watch, and what they mean for the Rams
Don't expect Harrison Jr.'s 1 reception for four yards – or three targets – to be the norm. He was drafted high for a reason and should have the full attention of the Rams secondary.
As for Los Angeles' defense overall, which Arizona offense will they be getting on Sunday? The Cardinals produced 190 total yards and jumped out to a 17-3 lead in the first half, but managed only 80 yards in the second half in their 34-28 loss to the Bills. Running back DeeJay Dallas' 96-yard kickoff return was Arizona's only touchdown after halftime.
