Brotherhood Bowl to feature Servite & St. John Bosco football at Sofi Stadium on Friday, October 18

Anaheim, CA - Trinity League schools Servite High School and St. John Bosco High School are proud to announce the Brotherhood Bowl to be played on October 18, 2024 presented by the Los Angeles Rams as part of SoFi Stadium's Friday Night Lights Series presented by LA Bowl Hosted By Gronk.

Two all-boys Catholic schools with rich traditions of brotherhood and athletic excellence, the Friars and Braves look forward to giving student-athletes the opportunity to compete in a world-class NFL stadium. The venue will serve as a great platform for both schools to promote the unique advantages found in an all-boy-school environment.

"We are pleased to welcome both Servite High School and St. John Bosco High School to SoFi Stadium as a continuation of Friday Night Lights presented by LA Bowl Hosted By Gronk," said Adolfo Romero, Executive Director for LA Bowl Hosted By Gronk. "This event highlights not only the talent of these student-athletes, but also the spirit of brotherhood and tradition that these two esteemed football programs represent. We are honored to provide a global stage for the Brotherhood Bowl and look forward to creating a memorable experience for the players, coaches, and fans alike."

Although Servite will be the home team for the contest, both schools are partnering to make this opportunity a reality for all the student-athletes involved.

"It has been a goal of ours to bring high school football to the world's greatest venue and allow student-athletes the experience to play on the home field of the Los Angeles Rams," said Rams Senior Director of Social Justice and Football Development Johnathan Franklin. "The Brotherhood Bowl is a top matchup of two storied football programs and the memories made on October 18 will last a lifetime for these young men and their families and fans. We are grateful for the partnership with LA Bowl Hosted By Gronk, Hollywood Park and SoFi Stadium to make this possible for Servite and St. John Bosco."

Both programs are currently led by graduates and former football players who have returned to their alma mater to coach the next generation.

Servite Coach Chris Reinert (Servite '04) said, "We are thrilled with the opportunity for our team to compete against a fellow all-boys school in a world-class venue. Our young men will have the chance to create a memory of a lifetime with their teammates on the same field as the Rams and the Chargers. We are extremely grateful for the chance to represent the Trinity League as the first two programs to play at SoFi Stadium."

St. John Bosco Coach Jason Negro (Bosco '91) shared, "It is an honor to officially partner with the Servite Friars for this year's Brotherhood Bowl to be played at SoFi Stadium. The brotherhood shown by both schools to make this happen has been truly amazing and a testament to our commitment to our schools' communities!"

The two schools played for the first time in 1965 and have been playing annually since 1999 when both teams were in the Serra League. Now members of the elite Trinity League, both Servite and Bosco boast 4-0 records in the 2024 season with the Friars earning wins over East (Utah), Murrieta Valley, Chaminade, and Notre Dame Sherman Oaks headed into their bye. The Braves have notched victories over Chaminade-Madonna (Florida), Eastwood (Texas), Sierra Canyon, and Serra (San Mateo) with Pittsburgh (CA) on the schedule this week.

The two storied programs have won a combined 9 CIF Championships and 6 State titles with both teams reaching the CIF-SS Finals (Bosco D1 / Servite D2) in 2023.

This Friday Night Lights match-up will be the third of a series of High School Football games played at SoFi Stadium this fall, including the East LA Classic which will also be presented by LA Bowl Hosted by Gronk and the Los Angeles Rams.
