With the offseason program complete and Rams Training Camp presented by UNIFY Financial Credit Union starting up on July 23, it's time to look ahead. As part of the preparation for training camp, theRams.com will be spotlighting a handful of players new to the Rams' roster. Continuing the series is offensive lineman Jonah Jackson.
How He Got Here: After becoming an unrestricted free agent, Jackson signed a 3-year deal with the Rams on March 14.
What's Next: Getting more involved. Jackson was part of a small group of players the Rams took a precautious approach with in terms of their participation level during OTAs in order to have them ready to go for camp, according to head coach Sean McVay. Jackson getting more involved will be an important step in the reconfigured offensive line building chemistry during training camp.
Bet You Didn't Know: ESPN NFL analyst Matt Bowen ranked Jackson No. 11 on his Top 100 free agents for 2024.
Quotable: "He's in good shape. He's feeling good. There were a couple guys that we really had in mind as the goal was always let's be able to get them onboarded above the neck. Let's build the right foundation and have those guys ready to go when we open up training camp on the 23rd of July. And so, that's where he's at. He's been a stud just as a person, obviously he's got a great resume but the way he works day in and day out, whether it's in the weight room, in the meeting room and some of our walkthrough types of settings, I've been really impressed and pleased with him." – McVay on Jackson on June 4
