1) Accomplished, and historic, starter at Clemson

Davis in 2019 was the first true freshman defensive tackle to start a season-opener for the Tigers since Jeff Mills in 1974.

Additionally, Davis was a four-year starter at Clemson.

2) One of multiple Senior Bowl participants in this year's class

The annual college all-star event in Mobile, Alabama has been a good resource for the Rams, and it counted Davis among its participants this year.

Besides Davis, the Senior Bowl also featured Rams 2024 draftees Braden Fiske, Kamren Kinchens, Brennan Jackson, Joshua Karty and Beaux Limmer.

3) Nickname

Former Clemson teammate K.J. Henry gave the 6-foot-2, 301-pound Davis the nickname of "Mini Fridge" (like William "The Refrigerator" Perry).

4) Certified leader

After earning a degree in management in December 2022, Davis in December 2023 completed a certificate in athletic leadership.

According to the athletic leadership certificate's website, "the purpose of this certificate will be to provide aspiring coaches and administrators at the interscholastic and intercollegiate levels an educational base for preparing individual coaching philosophy and ethical decision making. The certificates provide an educational base in areas of leadership, ethics and coaching development within the current landscape of athletics in educational settings."

5) Modeled his game after current and former Rams

In another sign that he's a fit for Los Angeles' defense, Davis at the NFL Scouting Combine said he patterned his game after Aaron Donald and Kobie Turner.
