Top 5 games on Rams' 2024 schedule

Now that the Rams' 2024 schedule has been officially released, senior staff writer Stu Jackson ranks the top five games for Los Angeles this upcoming season. The Rams' 2024 schedule release is presented by Confirmed360:

5) Week 12 vs. Eagles (5:20 p.m. PT, NBC) – TICKETS | SUITES

For those who follow offensive and defensive line play closely, this matchup in the trenches will be for you. The Eagles were widely regarded as one of the biggest and best offensive lines in the NFL last season, and the Rams have lots of young and new players in the mix on their defensive front. The Eagles likewise have big bodies along the defensive line that will provide a good test for the Rams' slightly-reconfigured interior offensive line.

4) Week 8 vs. Vikings, Oct. 24 (5:15 p.m. PT, Amazon Prime Video) – TICKETS | SUITES

Minnesota no longer has Kirk Cousins starting at quarterback, so will Los Angeles see veteran Sam Darnold or rookie J.J. McCarthy in Week 8?

3) Week 3 vs. 49ers, Sept. 22 (1:25 p.m. PT, FOX) – TICKETS | SUITES

An early-season rivalry game, and a division opponent at that. Unlike last season, San Francisco is settled at the quarterback position, set to be led by Brock Purdy.

The 49ers hired former Rams defensive coordinator Brandon Staley as assistant head coach and also signed former Rams outside linebacker Leonard Floyd to a two-year deal in free agency.

2) Week 1 at Lions, Sept. 8 (5:20 p.m. PT, NBC)

A playoff rematch in primetime? Yes please.

Coming off of reaching the NFC Championship, Detroit signed quarterback Jared Goff, left tackle Penei Sewell and wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown to lucrative 4-year extensions making each among the highest paid at their position, and will retain a sizable chunk of the core that led to last year's breakthrough season.

1) Week 10 vs. Dolphins, Nov. 11 (5:15 p.m. PT, ESPN) – TICKETS | SUITES

Believe it or not, this will be the first Monday Night Football home game at SoFi Stadium for the Rams with fans in attendance. They hosted the Bears on Monday Night Football in Week 7 of the COVID-impacted 2020 season.

Beyond that, there's plenty of star power to this matchup, highlighted by a Dolphins offense led by quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and wide receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle that is one of the fastest in the league. And this will be former Rams defensive back Jalen Ramsey returning to Los Angeles for the first time since being traded to the Dolphins.
