Safety Tanner Ingle signed to the Los Angeles Rams practice squad (8/30/23).
College: During his time at NC State, Ingle appeared in 56 games (50 starts), and recorded 310 total tackles (175 solo), and three interceptions. His 2,960 career snaps ranked second among defensive players and he ranked second on the team in tackles. During his senior campaign in 2022, he earned Second-Team AllACC and finished with career-high numbers in interceptions (two) and solo tackles (43). During the 2021 season, Ingle was named First-Team All-ACC, First-Team Associated Press, and SecondTeam according to Phil Steele. He was the second-leading tackler with 82 stops. He finished with 776 snaps for the season, the highest total on defense. Ingle led the team with a career-high single-game tackles (13) and had his first career interception against USF. During the 2020 season, he faced a hamstring injury for most of the season. He was voted season captain and named Fourth-Team preseason All-ACC choice by Phil Steele. As a sophomore in 2019, Ingle was the second-leading tackler for the season with 68 stops and earned the team's Dewayne Washington Award for Defensive Back of the year. During his sophomore campaign, he switched positions from nickel to free safety. As a true freshman in 2018, he was one of two freshman to start multiple games on defense. Ingle ranked sixth on the team in tackles.
Personal: A 2018 graduate from Dr. Phillips High School in Orlando Fl., Ingle helped his team to the Florida Class 8A state title with a record of 13-2. He competed in track and field and was a two-time state title holder in the long jump. Ingle was ranked 47th in the nation by Rivals and 78th cornerback nationally by 247 Sports. As a senior, he finished with 101 tackles, nine rushes for 44 yards, one touchdown, and tallied 215 yards in both punt and kickoff returns. Ingle was named First-Team all-state, two-time First-Team all-metro and all-district selection, and voted team captain. During his time at NC State he studied sport management.
