The Los Angeles Rams selected Michigan running back Blake Corum 83rd overall in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft (4/26/24).
College: As a senior in 2023, he started all 15 games and led the team with 258 rushes for 1,245 yards and 27 touchdowns to go along with 16 catches for 117 yards and one touchdown. He set the single-season rushing touchdown record at Michigan and the all-eras single-season total touchdown record (28) last season. Corum finished ninth in Heisman Trophy voting and was a Third-Team All-American (AP), the Comeback Player of the Year, a Doak Walker Award semifinalist, a Wueffel Trophy finalist, and the Ameche-Dayne Big Ten Running Back of the Year for the second straight season. Corum was the only player in the FBS to score in every single game during the 2023 season and had 11 multi-touchdown games. He was voted a team captain, Michigan's Big Ten Medal of Honor recipient and AFCA Good Works Team Captain, and the Offensive MVP of the National Championship Game in 2023. In 2022 as a junior, Corum started all 12 games he appeared in and totaled 247 rushes for a career-best 1,463 yards and 18 touchdowns to go along with 11 catches for 80 yards and a touchdown. His rushing yards mark in 2022 ranked eighth in program history and his touchdown mark tied for third in Michigan history. Corum was a top-10 Heisman Trophy finisher, a unanimous First-Team All-American, a Doak Walker Award finalist, and a consensus First-Team All-Big Ten selection. He also was a semifinalist for the Maxwell Award, the Walter Camp Player of the Year, and the Jason Witten Collegiate Man of the Year in 2022. As a sophomore in 2021, he was a Third-Team All-Big Ten selection (coaches) and a Paul Hornung Award semifinalist after playing in 12 games and notching 143 carries for 952 yards and 11 touchdowns to go along with 24 receptions for 141 yards and one touchdown. In 2020 as a freshman, Corum appeared in six games (one start) at running back and on special teams and tallied 26 carries for 77 yards and two touchdowns to go along with five catches for 73 yards.
Personal: Corum was the 2019 Gatorade Player of the Year in the state of Maryland following his senior high school season. He was a consensus four-star prospect and was the no.8 ranked running back nationally, according to Rivals. He helped St. Frances to an 11-1 season in 2019 and the no.3 rank in High School Football America's national rankings. Corum was enrolled in the School of Kinesiology and majored in Sport Management at Michigan.
