Alaric Jackson was signed by the Los Angeles Rams as an undrafted rookie free agent (5/2/21).
College: Jackson was one of nine seniors named to the Iowa Hawkeye's 2020 leadership group and started all 42 games he played in during his collegiate career. Jackson was the only player in the 2021 NFL Draft to start more than 40 games at left tackle. During his 2020 senior campaign, Jackson started all eight games and was a Second-team All-America selection by AFCA, ThirdTeam All-America by Phil Steele, and voted First-Team All-Big Ten by league coaches and media. In 2019, Jackson started 10 games and was voted Second-team All-Big Ten by Phile Steele and Third-Team All-Big Ten by league coaches and players despite missing three games due to injury. He started 12 games during the 2018 campaign and earned Second-Team All-Big Ten by league coaches and media as well as Second-Team All-Big Ten by the Associated Press and Phil Steele. After redshirting in 2016, Jackson's 2017 season included honors such as Academic AllBig Ten, First-Team freshman All-America by FWAA and Big-Ten Conference All-Freshman team by BTN.com.
Personal: Jackson was born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada and majored in sports medicine at the University of Iowa. He was one of two players on the Iowa football team from Detriot, MI and was coached by Lou Beatty at Renaissance High School. He remained committed to Iowa throughout the recruiting process despite a late push from Michigan.
