The Los Angeles Rams have selected Florida redshirt senior wide receiver Van Jefferson with the No. 57 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
As a graduate transfer, Jefferson led the Gators in receiving in both of his seasons in Gainesville, posting 35 receptions for 503 yards and six touchdowns in 2018 then 49 receptions for 657 yards and six touchdowns in 2019. The former four-star recruit originally signed with Mississippi, where he earned All-SEC freshman honors in 2016 after posting 49 receptions, 543 yards and three touchdowns.
Jefferson is the son of former NFL wide receiver Shawn Jefferson, who played 13 years in the league and is currently the wide receivers coach for the New York Jets. NFL.com draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah considered him the No. 69 prospect in the draft, while NFL Media analyst Lance Zierlein graded him as a "good backup who could become a starter."
