Rams running back Todd Gurley put together one of the most impressive turnaround seasons in the NFL last year, finishing with a league-leading 2,093 yards from scrimmage, 19 total touchdowns, and 13 rushing touchdowns — almost doubling his totals in all three categories from 2016.
With numbers like that, it's easy to see why the Georgia product was voted as the No. 6 player in this year's NFL Top 100 List. The annual rankings are determined by current NFL players and based on an athlete's projected performance for the next season.
Last year, Gurley developed as a true dual-threat running back with a high level of production on the ground and in the air. He finished the season second in the league with 1,305 yards rushing and led the Rams with 64 receptions.
Gurley also took home the AP's Offensive Player of the Year Award, while being named a first-team All-Pro for the first time in his career and going to his second-career Pro Bowl.
Gurley's No. 6 ranking marks his second-career appearance on the list, but his first time landing in the Top 10.
He joins defensive tackle Aaron Donald (No. 7), quarterback Jared Goff (No. 38), cornerback Aqib Talib (No. 53), defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh (No. 61), cornerback Marcus Peters (No. 79), and left tackle Andrew Whitworth (No. 87) as the seven Rams players on the Top 100 List this season.
