For the third time this season, the Rams are headed to New Orleans.
The Saints were able to overcome a 14-0 first-quarter deficit to defeat the Eagles 20-14 on Sunday, setting up the third contest between the Rams and Saints since August. Los Angeles traveled to the Big Easy for the fourth preseason game, then fell to New Orleans in Week 9 for the team's first loss of the season.
In that game, the Rams got down 35-14 in the second quarter, but kicker Greg Zuerlein's 56-yard field goal as time expired in first half made it 35-17. From there, the Rams scored 18 straight points to tie the game with just under 10 minutes left in the fourth quarter. Quarterback Jared Goff connected with wideout Cooper Kupp on a 41-yard touchdown pass, and then hit tight end Gerald Everett for a two-point conversion.
But after that, the Saints scored 10 unanswered points to win — including a game-sealing 72-yard touchdown from quarterback Drew Brees to wide receiver Michael Thomas.
Both teams have changed since that last meeting in early November. The Saints got wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr. back off of injured reserve, and he played a big role against the Steelers in Week 16, making five receptions for 74 yards.
And the Rams have added running back C.J. Anderson, who has averaged 140 yards rushing in three games since joining L.A. back in Week 16.
Kickoff between the Rams and Saints is slated for noon pacific on Sunday. The game will be televised on FOX.
