The 2020 NFL Draft will bring our communities and nation together with a three-day virtual fundraiser, the "Draft-A-Thon", which will be integrated into the Draft and raise funds in support of six national nonprofits and their respective COVID-19 relief efforts.
A portion of the Draft-A-Thon proceeds will directly benefit the United Way of Greater Los Angeles (UWGLA) and local Feeding America food banks, which the Rams have selected as recipients of a local fund allocation.
Donations from fans will add to the financial commitments that have already been made by Head Coach SEAN McVAY and General Manager LES SNEAD. Both McVay and Snead recently joined other head coaches and general managers around the NFL in committing $1,000 to the Draft-A-Thon for each draft pick. The coordinated effort amongst coaches and general managers is projected to raise more than $500,000 for the Draft-A-Thon.
Funds raised during the Draft-A-Thon will build on the success of the Rams' Te'LA'thon, which raised more than $2.2M last month to assist Southern California pandemic relief efforts with contributions benefitting UWGLA's Pandemic Relief Fund and the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank.
The Draft-A-Thon will be featured during live NFL Draft coverage on ABC, ESPN and NFL Network from April 23-25. National nonprofits selected by the NFL Foundation to benefit by Draft-A-Thon donations include American Red Cross, CDC Foundation's All of Us: Combat Coronavirus Campaign, Feeding America, Meals on Wheels, Salvation Army and United Way.
