WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. – Rams head coach Sean McVay on Tuesday announced quarterback Matthew Stafford, wide receiver Cooper Kupp, offensive lineman Rob Havenstein, defensive back Quentin Lake and nose tackle Kobie Turner were voted by their teammates as captains for the 2024 season.
"So five total captains for our team, and then that'll give us an opportunity to represent and really recognize guys throughout the year," McVay said. "But those five were well-regarded in terms of the votes from their peers. There was kind of a gap between those five and everybody else, and there was a lot of guys that got recognition that were certainly well-deserving of that."
Stafford, Kupp and Havenstein are all returning captains. For Kupp, it's his fifth time overall. Stafford has been named a captain for the fourth-straight year, while Havenstein has been named a captain for the third-straight year.
Both Lake and Turner are first-time captains.
"Two captains that just got voted on our defense, Quentin Lake and Kobie Turner, couldn't be more well-deserving," McVay said.
