The Los Angeles Rams teamed up with community partners to kick off the first two weeks of their inaugural five-week 'Season of Giving' campaign. The team supported the Covenant House's Thanksgiving Tuesday dinner celebration, hosted their annual 'Ramsgiving' event at the team's practice facility in Woodland Hills, a holiday extravaganza at Nickerson Gardens, the City of Inglewood's turkey distribution, West Valley Food Pantry's food distribution, and visited A Place Called Home with rookies and Legends alike.
To kick off the initiative, linebacker Jared Verse and other members of the 2024 rookie class visited the West Valley Food Pantry in Woodland Hills, just a few minutes from the Rams practice facility to participate in a food distribution. Staff and players helped with the pantry's Thanksgiving mobile produce and grocery distribution that helped feed nearly 150 families. Players also took a tour of the facility to further understand the work the West Valley Food Pantry does.
Later the same day, more rookie class members hosted 50 North East Lincoln Rams and 50 Watts Rams youth football players at the team's new practice facility in Woodland Hills for festive activities and a "Ramsgiving" meal. Rams players as well as youth players rounded out the night by sharing what they were most thankful for.
"I didn't really get to do this when I was younger so getting to see the kid's eyes light up when we show up, it's a really joyful and cheerful experience," said receiver Jordan Whittington.

Rams Cheerleaders, Rampage, and staff also joined the City of Inglewood's 10th Annual Turkey Giveaway presented by PepsiCo and Don Lee Farms, serving approximately 2,000 Inglewood families, providing turkeys donated by Don Lee Farms, and additional items from PepsiCo and Melissa’s Produce.
In partnership with L.A. Care Health Plan, the team hosted a football clinic and holiday celebration at the field they installed at Nickerson Gardens. Defensive tackle Larrell Murchison attended the event for a day of football and Thanksgiving festivities including family activities, a football clinic, and food distribution on behalf of L.A. Care. The day concluded with a flag football tournament.
The Los Angeles Police Department Chief Jim McDonnell touched on what the event means to the community. "This is history that you all are a part of because of today," said McDonnell. "Kids are playing together from Nickerson Gardens and Jordan Downs, which hasn't happened in over a decade."

In celebration of the Los Angeles Rams 'Party Like It's 1999' Sunday Night Football matchup against the Eagles and the 25th Anniversary of Super Bowl XXXIV, members of the 1999 team including Isaac Bruce, Marshall Faulk, Torry Holt, and Orlando Pace visited A Place Called Home (APCH) to distribute over 400 turkeys and bags of Thanksgiving meal supplies to families in need with groceries provided by Rams partner Albertsons, Vons, Pavilions.
"Just to come out here and be a part of what's happening here with my teammates, it's definitely special," said Bruce.
The Rams returned to APCH a few days later with running back Blake Corum, cornerback Cobie Durant, and wide receiver Xavier Smith joining Rams staff volunteers, APCH alumni, current youth members, and Board and Leadership Council members to distribute 300 turkeys and bags of Thanksgiving meal supplies to South Central families in need. They also helped serve a holiday meal to more than 1,000 community members.
The Rams also visited Food Share of Ventura to assist with a holiday drive-through box food distribution at College Park in Oxnard. The team also surprised Food Share's Chief Development Officer Jennifer Caldwell as one of their "pLAymakers" and Los Angeles Rams Associate Manager of Social Justice and Football Development Noel Grigsby presented her with a $5,000 check.
"Jennifer has helped serve her community for 20 years and for us, that is what being a Rams pLAymaker is all about," said Grigsby. "By recognizing her while our organization volunteered alongside Food Share, we were not only able to see her commitment and hard work up close, but also recognize an organization that aligns with our goals at the Rams. Jennifer's commitment to the community is clear and were grateful to spotlight that."
Coming off a Sunday Night Football matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles, running back Kyren Williams visited Covenant House California’s Hollywood campus for the nonprofit's annual 'Thanksgiving Tuesday' dinner celebration. Along with Williams, Rampage, Rams Cheerleaders, and Rams staff, joined Covenant House's community of alumni, youth, volunteers, and supporters to help serve Thanksgiving dinner to over 200 attendees battling homelessness. With most of the attendees being between the ages of 18 and 24, Williams touched on how special it was to give back.
"To see how young these kids are and to see where I was at that age, we all aren't in the same position, but to be able to inspire and have them see me giving back and handing out turkeys, I hope it shows them that their dreams are bigger than what anyone else tells them," said Williams.
Among Rams staff, members of the Rams Pride Employee Resource Community (ERC) were in attendance to volunteer, and the Rams surprised Covenant House California's Supportive Service Director Anthony Conley as a 2024 “pLAymaker”.
The Rams have volunteered over 1,500 hours of service so far throughout this year's 'Season of Giving'. Since 2018, Rams players, cheerleaders, mascot Rampage, and front office staff have participated in the annual Community Blitz and Season of Giving days of service that have helped to address food insecurity, provide gifts to those in need and uplift the Los Angeles community during the holiday season.
