The Rams are back from their bye week for a Week 7 home game against Raiders at SoFi Stadium. Kickoff on Sunday in Inglewood, Calif. is scheduled for 1:05 p.m. pacific time on CBS.
In advance of the contest, here is your First Look at Rams-Raiders presented by Corona:
Notable Raiders additions
- Selected TE Brock Bowers 13th overall in the first round of this year's draft: With wide receiver Davante Adams sidelined with a hamstring injury, Bowers has been the top target in Las Vegas' passing game. He has 37 receptions (on a team-high 46 targets) for 384 yards through the first six games of the season.
- Signed DT Christian Wilkins to a 4-year deal in March: The former Miami Dolphin was a big free agency acquisition, but suffered a Jones fracture in his foot in Week 5 against the Broncos which landed him on Injured Reserve.
Top performers in Week 6
QB Aidan O'Connell completed 27 of 40 pass attempts for 227 yards with 1 touchdown and 1 interception in the Raiders' 32-13 home loss to the Steelers.
RB Alexander Mattison paced Las Vegas' backfield with 14 carries for 33 yards and 1 touchdown.
Bowers led all Raiders receivers with 71 receiving yards on 9 receptions.
S Tre'Von Moehrig and CB Nate Hobbs each had 10 total tackles to lead Las Vegas' defense.
On special teams, kicker Daniel Carlson made his lone extra point attempt (did not attempt any field goals), while punter A.J. Cole averaged 56.7 yards per punt across three punts (one punt was blocked).
Early storylines to watch, and what they mean for the Rams
It's wait-and-see on potentially having two contributors on offense back this week.
Wide receiver Cooper Kupp had a workout Monday that will determine whether he practices and ultimately plays on Sunday, and offensive lineman Joe Noteboom has one this week as well.
Meanwhile, Rams head coach Sean McVay on his coach's show Monday with J.B. Long alluded to competition on the interior of the offensive line despite improvement from some of the younger players there, so that's something to watch for leading into Sunday's game.
Moreover, the secondary will also be a group to monitor. McVay in his Monday press conference indicated some of the changes within that position group were specific to how they approached the Packers, and therefore any changes this week could reflect how they are approaching the Raiders, but "in terms of getting Darious [Williams] back, having some of those things with Cobie Durant at the outside corner, those guys did a nice job. We'll move forward with that."
In other words, this week is all about personnel, and who the Rams could be getting back, or putting in new roles.
