First Look: Rams close out regular season hosting Seahawks in Week 18

After clinching the NFC West title in Week 17, the Rams wrap up the 2024 regular season hosting the Seahawks at SoFi Stadium in Week 18. Kickoff in Inglewood, Calif. on Sunday is scheduled for 1:25 p.m. pacific time on FOX.

In advance of the contest, here is your First Look at Rams-Seahawks, presented by Quidel.

Notable Seahawks additions

  • Acquired LB Ernest Jones IV in a trade with the Titans on Oct. 24: Jones has been a consistent presence and force in the middle of Seattle's defense since his arrival.
  • Signed RB George Holani to the active roster from the practice squad on Dec. 26: In wake of starter Kenneth Walker III going on Injured Reserve, Holani was brought to the active roster to shore up depth at running back. Zach Charbonnet and Kenny McIntosh have handled the majority of the work so far, however.

Top performers in Week 17

QB Geno Smith completed 17 of 23 pass attempts for 160 yards, fumbling twice (recovering one) in Seattle's 6-3 road win over the Chicago Bears.

Charbonnet led the Seahawks backfield with 15 carries for 57 yards.

TE Noah Fant paced Seattle receivers with four receptions for 43 yards.

DL Leonard Williams led the Seahawks defense with five total tackles and two sacks.

On special teams, K Jason Myers made both of his field goal attempts, while P Michael Dickson averaged 48 yards per punt across six punts.

Early storylines to watch, and what they mean for the Rams

Week 17's results effectively rendered this game inconsequential for both the Seahawks and the Rams, except for the purposes of seeding in the NFC playoff picture for Los Angeles.

A win (or tie) versus the Seahawks clinches the No. 3 seed. A Buccaneers loss or tie versus the Saints would also achieve this.

Otherwise, a Rams loss and Bucs win means the Rams will be the No. 4 seed and host the loser of Lions-Vikings on Wild Card weekend.
