Michael Hoecht resigned with Los Angeles Rams (3/15/23)
College: Hoecht made 174 tackles and totaled 16.5 sacks during his collegiate career at Brown. He was named a Second-Team All-Ivy League selection in 2019 and was a two-year team captain in 2018 and 2019. As a junior, he led the Bears with 4.0 sacks and his 69 tackles were third on the team and 10th in the Ivy League. As a sophomore, Hoecht started all 10 games and finished with 45 tackles (10 for a loss) and 5.0 sacks. He played a major role as a freshman seeing action in seven games (four starts). His 4.0 sacks on the season tied for second-best on the team.
Personal: Hoecht attended Oakwood High School in Dayton, Ohio where he was a two-sport athlete and played basketball and football. He was awarded team captain in both sports. He was the South Western Buckeye League Offensive Player of the Year in football and the SWBL Player of the Year in basketball. While in college at Brown, Hoecht served as a calculus tutor and has an interest in finance and the economy. Michael is the son of Lynne and Brian Hoecht.
