Matt Waugh enters his ninth season with the Los Angeles Rams and his first as the director of pro personnel.
He spent the previous six seasons as a pro scout after serving as a pro scouting assistant.
Waugh's duties have included preseason scouting, regular season scouting advances, monitoring unrestricted and restricted free agents for the upcoming free agency period, draft process cross-checking and college free agent scouting. Waugh brings 11 years of football operations experience covering a range of assignments both at the collegiate and professional levels. Prior to joining the Rams organization, Waugh completed a scouting internship with the Chargers.
He also served as a recruiting associate for the Purdue University football program during the 2015 season and contributed to the initial evaluation and scouting of potential high school recruits. Waugh also interned with the Detroit Lions and Tennessee Titans personnel departments from 2014 to 2015. Prior to getting his start in the National Football League, Waugh served as a recruiting assistant for the University of Cincinnati football program from 2012-14.
Waugh got his start at his alma mater, Ohio University, as a football operations assistant/recruiting intern. The 2012 graduate received his Bachelor of Science in sport management.
