The Senior Bowl is an annual postseason college all-star game played every January in Mobile, Alabama. The event brings together the best collection of NFL prospects who have completed their college eligibility for a week's worth of practices, followed by a final bowl game. 

For the Rams, the Senior Bowl has always been very important to the franchise — used to scout the top talent entering the Draft, as well as to discover several underrated players who may have gone unnoticed otherwise. 

And with this year's game taking place on Saturday, take a look at which current Rams are alums of the event:

2017 Senior Bowl:

— Wide receiver, Cooper Kupp

—  Safety, John Johnson III

— Fullback, Sam Rogers

— Wide receiver, Josh Reynolds

— Tight end, Gerald Everett

— Defensive tackle, Tanzel Smart

Last year was by the far the most productive Senior Bowl for the Rams organization. General manager Les Snead scouted six of the team's eight draft picks at the NFL's annual event. The biggest standouts from the week included Kupp — who was the fastest player on the North team — and Reynolds, who recorded 85 yards and one touchdown in the game.

2016 Senior Bowl: 

— Offensive lineman, Austin Blythe

— Quarterback, Brandon Allen

— Defensive back, Kevin Peterson

— Tight end, Henry Krieger-Coble

Four current players were members of the 2016 Senior Bowl. Peterson, Blythe and Krieger-Coble were each members of the North Squad. Allen — who completed 7-of-10 passes for 106 yards — was a member of the South team that won, 27-16.

2015 Senior Bowl:

— Quarterback, Sean Mannion

— Right tackle, Rob Havenstein

Havenstein and Mannion both took full advantage of the early opportunity to impress NFL scouts at the 2015 Senior Bowl. The Wisconsin product was projected as a third-day pick before the week, but jumped to a second round selection after an solid showing in the game. Mannion was one of six quarterbacks invited to the weeklong event and as a member of the North squad, he completed 9 of 14 passes for 94 yards and one touchdown. Both were selected by the Rams in the 2015 draft.

2014 Senior Bowl:

— Defensive tackle, Aaron Donald

Donald is the last of the nine current players drafted by the Rams to have participated in the Senior Bowl. The Pittsburgh product had a dominant showing throughout the week, working against the North squad offensive linemen. According to Sports Illustrated, Donald was widely regarded as one of the most impressive players at the event. He was later drafted by the Rams at No. 13 overall.

2009 Senior Bowl:

— Outside linebacker Connor Barwin:

Barwin came into the Senior Bowl as a converted tight end who had just wrapped up his first year playing defense. In his senior season, Barwin led the University of Cincinnati and the Big East with 11.0 sacks, 53 tackles and 16 tackles for loss. And after a strong performance at the Senior Bowl and in the combine, Barwin was selected in the second round by the Texans.

2008 Senior Bowl:

— Center, John Sullivan:

Sullivan accepted an invite to the Senior Bowl following his fifth-year of eligibility with the Fighting Irish. During his time at Notre Dame, Sullivan was a consistent member of the offensive line, helping block for quarterback Brady Quinn. Plus, coming into the annual event, he was ranked among the top-four centers in the Draft and was ultimately selected by the Vikings in the sixth round.
