GLENDALE, Ariz. — Running back Todd Gurley will not play against the Cardinals in Week 16.
Though Gurley and the Rams were reportedly optimistic about the running back's chances to play, Gurley has been declared inactive after going through a pregame workout.
Gurley has been dealing with knee inflammation since last week's game against the Eagles. While he was able to finish the Week 15 matchup, he did not practice all on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday in preparation for the Cardinals.
With Gurley out, newly signed running back C.J. Anderson is likely to start and play the majority of snaps on Sunday. In nine games with the Panthers this season, Anderson took 24 carries for 104 yards and had one 24-yard touchdown reception.
Running back Justin Davis is active for Sunday's game. He did not practice with a shoulder injury all week. Rookie sixth-round pick John Kelly is also active for Sunday.
Below are the full lists of inactives for both teams. Kickoff is slated for 1:05 pacific on FOX.
