The NFL sent 15 of its clubs 32 compensatory draft picks on Friday afternoon, with the 2019 NFL Draft still a few months out.
The Rams are one of just four teams slotted with multiple picks, claiming three compensatory picks — two third-round picks and a seventh-round pick — but will be sending two of those picks to the Jaguars and Giants, completing the trade deals that brought outside linebacker Dante Fowler Jr. onboard in 2018 and sent outside linebacker Alec Ogletree to the Giants last offseason.
The Rams will keep their lower of the two third-round compensatory picks and send the higher pick to Jacksonville. The seventh-round pick will go to the Giants.
The Rams' three compensatory picks give the club seven total picks in the 2019 NFL Draft, three of which will come in the draft's first three rounds. The Rams will pick at No. 31, No. 94, No. 99 (compensatory), No. 133, No. 169, No. 203, and No. 251 (compensatory). Compensatory picks can be traded.
