Saturday's final cuts, in addition to the 24 names submitted to the league office on Friday, complete L.A.'s 2018 preseason cuts, a process that head coach Sean McVay described on Friday as 'never fun'.
"You just want to make sure that you at least give people [players cut] an understanding of why you made that decision and also let them know how much you've appreciate what they've done, because I think there's an element you forget, there's a human element," McVay said.
"These are guys, this is a job, this is how they support their families in a lot of ways and it's never fun no matter how you put it."
Los Angeles will be able to carry 54 players, as the club has received a roster exemption for defensive tackle Aaron Donald that expires on Sept 17, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Sunday will mark the team's first practice with the reduced roster, as the Rams continue preparation for Monday Night Football in Oakland on September 10.
