Injury Updates: Rob Havenstein expected to play in Wild Card game vs. Vikings; Blake Corum fractured forearm vs. Seahawks; latest on John Johnson III and Troy Reeder

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. – Rams head coach Sean McVay on Monday said the expectation is offensive lineman Rob Havenstein will play in next Monday night's Wild Card playoff game against the Vikings (5 p.m. PT, ESPN and ABC).

Havenstein has missed the Rams' last two games with a shoulder injury that McVay described as a "freak thing" that happened in practice. McVay said there was a possibility that Havenstein would've played last night against the Seahawks.

"I was talking to (vice president of sports medicine and performance) Reggie (Scott) about it this morning, he's made great progress, (but) you want to make sure that you don't leave yourself susceptible throughout the course of the week in practice to any sort of setbacks, while also making sure that you get it tested accordingly," McVay said. "And so those will be things that we'll be cognizant of. But, I know he's really chopping at the bit, ready to go, ready to help lead and do his thing and play the way that he's capable of."

McVay didn't have any other updates beyond that and what he had provided postgame Sunday night, in terms of running back Blake Corum having to miss the playoffs after fracturing his forearm against Seattle.

When asked about safety John Johnson III and linebacker Troy Reeder, who remain on Injured Reserve, McVay said they're "still working through" those return decisions.

"I want to wait until I end up getting the full amount of information as it relates to, we know what happened with Blake. Want to see if there's anybody else, and then your eyes are towards, okay, how do you navigate that?" McVay said. "What does it look like to project what your possible 48 (game day active roster) could be? So those are things that we'll work through. Try to get that done, or have at least some clarity on it, a little bit later on this morning, but want to have all the information before I do that."
