WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. – Rams head coach Sean McVay on Wednesday said offensive lineman Rob Havenstein (ankle) could potentially return for this week's road game against the Patriots, but it's "probably less likely than likely."
McVay said they will take things one day at a time with Havenstein, who will practice Wednesday. However, McVay said Wednesday is "more of a mental day" – the Rams are holding a walkthrough – due to the short week coming off of playing on Monday night.
Los Angeles' starting right tackle for the first eight games of the season, Havenstein missed Monday Night Football against the Dolphins because of an ankle sprain sustained in Week 9 against the Seahawks.
Joe Noteboom, who started in place of Havenstein at right tackle against Miami, is also dealing with an ankle injury. McVay said that if neither Noteboom nor Havenstein could go, Warren McClendon would start at that spot.
