Check out photos of Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib being introduced as Los Angeles Rams
The first wave of free agency has come and gone, with plenty of noteworthy deals made.
At the start of the new league year, the Rams traded for cornerbacks Aqib Talib and Marcus Peters, parted ways with linebackers Robert Quinn and Alec Ogletree, and made moves to keep safety Lamarcus Joyner and cornerback Nickell Robey-Coleman.
In the eyes of Pro Football Focus, those moves have paid off. PFF named the Rams as one of the top four early winners of the 2018 free agency period.
By adding Peters and Talib into the mix, the Rams acquired two shutdown corners who will be "great fits for defensive coordinator Wade Phillips' man-heavy scheme." Plus, L.A. solidified its secondary by utilizing the franchise tag on Joyner and re-signing Robey-Coleman to a three-year contract.
According to PFF, the Rams free agency transactions have made them one of the toughest pass defenses in the league.
Joining Los Angeles on the list are the 49ers, Chiefs, and Packers.
