Often times, Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Michael Brockers flies under the radar, overshadowed by his tag-team partner Aaron Donald.
But don't forget about the 6-5, 300-pound first round pick (2012) out of LSU. Brockers is on the rise.
According to Pro Football Focus (PFF) stats, Brockers was one of the six interior defenders to play more than 400 snaps and not miss a tackle in 2016.
Last season, the sixth-year pro scored a run defense grade of 79.5, which was 19th best of 117 interior defenders. Brockers also registered a 71.9 pass rush grade, which was 35th of 118 interior defenders.
After a career-low grade in 2013, Brockers has risen his overall PFF grade each of the past three seasons.
The fact that Brockers continues to elevate his game is a scary thought, especially when inserted into Wade Phillips' defensive scheme. Opposing quarterbacks should beware.
