Christian Rozeboom re-signed with the Rams via a one-year deal in late March 2024, coming off a career-high 79 total tackles, four passes defensed and one interception while playing in all 17 regular season games (five starts) in 2023.
In 2024, the inside linebacker nearly doubled that production, setting a new career best with a team-high 135 total tackles while matching his interception and passes defensed totals from the previous season. Once again, he played in all 17 regular season games, while starting six more games.
Now, Rozeboom is a pending unrestricted free agent heading into the start of the NFL's new league year on March 12.
Re-signing Rozeboom a second time would allow Los Angeles to retain a player who has familiarity with its defense and been a longtime special teams contributor. The majority of his snaps came on defense as a regular starter, but he still saw special teams snaps in every game this past season, including the playoffs.
If the Rams don't re-sign Rozeboom, they have historically leaned on the draft or undrafted free agents to address the position in wake of a departure. Ernest Jones was a third-round pick in 2021; Rozeboom and, more recently, Omar Speights, are both examples of undrafted free agent signings. Bobby Wagner's signing in free agency during the 2022 offseason was an outlier the Sean McVay era because of a player of his caliber being available.
