Colby Parkinson on helping close out the win in San Francisco & the importance of having Tyler Higbee back for the home stretch | Featured on Rams Revealed Ep. 131

Every week in the tight end room, Colby Parkinson and his position group watch a highlight reel of their peers. When a tight end scores in the NFL, they take notice.

"Half the time, they're just wide open," the first-year Ram said this week. "And I'll always joke, 'Man that'd be nice.' I wish that would happen to us."

Thought it wasn't a touchdown, Parkinson did find himself all alone last Thursday night with the game in the balance. The San Francisco 49ers blew a coverage on third down coming back from the two-minute warning. Matthew Stafford identified and hit the Simi Valley native for a 14-yard gain and a first down that helped the Rams salt away their eighth victory and sweep their rival.

On the latest episode of Rams Revealed, the 25-year-old and new father detailed how the mini-bye refreshed the roster for a Week 16 trip to New York. Sub-freezing temperatures are in the forecast when LA takes on a Jets team showing signs of life after an explosive second half win at Jacksonville on Sunday.

Parkinson also spoke about the return of the most prolific tight end in franchise history, Tyler Higbee, who is set to make his 2024 debut after rehabilitating a serious knee suffered in Detroit last January.

"Just seeing his hard work and his dedication to the team – just completely unwavering throughout this process," Parkinson said of Higbee. "He took it head on. He's been in every single meeting, helping me out as a newcomer to the Rams, helping me understand the offense. He's done an amazing job, so I'm excited to get him back out there, and play with him."
