There was one surprise on the list of Rams' inactives for Sunday's game against the Seahawks, as safety Maurice Alexander is on it.
Alexander has started all four of Los Angeles' matchups so far in 2017, but will not play against Seattle. He was not listed on the Rams' injury report during the week, which would make this a coach's decision. The Rams have listed rookie John Johnson as the starter to replace Alexander at strong safety. However, depending on the personnell group, Blake Countess could be the first strong safety on the field, too.
Safety Lamarcus Joyner is once again inactive with a hamstring injury. Joyner entered the game doubtful, though head coach Sean McVay said the safety will likely be ready to go for next week's game against the Jaguars.
Los Angeles also elected to keep wide receiver Mike Thomas on the exempt list for today's game. Thomas is coming off a four-game suspension and practiced this week.
