The Rams defense had a very productive showing in Sunday's contest against Seattle, holding the Seahawks to just 16 points and one touchdown.
But on the line, it was defensive tackle Aaron Donald who had one of his best games of the season. His impressive performance was enough to give him the top grade among all interior lineman in Week 5 by Pro Football Focus. And he also earned himself a spot on the website's Team of the Week for the second consecutive time.
Each week, the popular football grading site delivers a play-by-play grade of every NFL game and player, putting together a team of the week made up of the best players at each position on field.
Donald was the highest graded defensive player with a near perfect 94.6. On Sunday, he had 10 total pressures over just 35 pass-rushing snaps and was able to destroy the Seattle run game with his quick penetration into the backfield. The fourth-year pro finished the contest with five combined tackles, two tackles for loss, and three quarterback hits.
Despite missing Week 1, Donald has continued to be one of the most dominant defensive players in the league and currently leads the NFL with 26 quarterback pressures over the fewest number of snaps.
