The Rams travel to Chicago to take on the Bears at Soldier Field in Week 4, with kickoff on Sunday scheduled for 10 a.m. pacific time on FOX.
In advance of the contest, here are 3 Keys to Winning for the Rams, presented by The Law Offices of Jacob Emrani (CallJacob.com).
1) Maintain the edge on special teams
Look no further than Week 1 for an example of the Bears' special teams being capable of turning a game for them. Because they've shown that already this season, it's critical for the Rams to likewise have that phase continue to be an advantage for them, whether that be Joshua Karty's clutch kicking or Xavier Smith's explosive return ability.
2) Stay disciplined in the passing game
Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford described the Bears' Jaylon Johnson as one of the most complete cornerbacks in the league; the challenge Chicago's secondary presents amplifies further if safety Kevin Byard (questionable with a back injury) ends up playing.
This places increased importance not only on having a clean performance from Stafford in the passing game, but Los Angeles' wide receivers owning their roles this week as well as they did against the 49ers last week.
3) Take advantage of week-to-week continuity
As Rams head coach Sean McVay said, the Bears present different challenges than the 49ers. Still, there's value in being able to practice and prepare with the same group after a lack of continuity due to injury over the first two weeks of the season.
