Favorite charity or cause that you love to support? My favorite charity, that I am passionate about supporting is the Wounded Warriors Project. Being a United States Marine Corps, veteran, I have seen firsthand the effects the military has on veterans and service members, who've, and cured a physical or mental injury, illness, or wound during or after service. During my term of service I worked hands-on with this organization, helping as a youth caregiver for children, whose parents suffered with PTSD, injuries were parents are limited, physically, and children who have recently lost a parent. Helping these children hands-on was a blessing because it allowed me to see the positive impact we had on this community and helping the youth adjust to the new lifestyle they had to adapt. I hope this organization extremely close to my heart, because of the amount of relationships and bonds I created with families. It truly inspires me, and constantly reminds me of why I decided to join the United States Marine Corps.
Advice to your younger self? Advice I would give to my younger self would be to never compare myself and my progress to others. Progression is always different for everyone, and to understand that a good worth ethic and strong self-discipline will lead me to success when that time is right for me.
What would it mean to you to be a Rams cheerleader? To be able to call myself a Rams cheerleader would mean the WORLD to me, as well as be a huge blessing to represent an amazing organization, that values community, family, strong worth-ethic, and genuine kindness. I would be able to make the connections within our community and inspire as much as I can especially to our LGBTQIA+ youth.
What are you looking forward to the most this season? I'm most looking forward to connecting with different charities and youth programs throughout the season. Everyone has a story and I'm all ears to listen. As well as being surrounded my amazing, kind teammates. Their smiles could make anyone's day brighter and I'm so great full for them.
