The Rams celebrated Earth Day at Woodland Hills Academy and Humanities Magnet by teaming up with California Resources Corporation (CRC) and EnrichLA to construct their first of five fully functional edible gardens. Volunteers from the Rams, CRC, and EnrichLA worked together to move soil and mulch, plant trees, and set up garden beds. Through their partnership, the Rams and CRC are committed to constructing five total gardens and programming in public schools within proximity of both SoFi Stadium, where the Rams play their home games, as well as the Rams practice facility in Woodland Hills.
The day represented the Rams April Staff Day of Service and featured volunteers including front office staff, Rams Cheerleaders, mascot Rampage and a special appearance from Kelly Stafford, wife of Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford.
Last year, the Rams announced CRC as the team's Official Carbon Management Partner. The partnership includes "Football Without the Footprint," a carbon management initiative that will allow the Rams to reduce or offset carbon emissions from the team's operations in coming years. The partnership also includes investments in community impact efforts such as these various garden builds and more.
"Building these gardens is about more than sustainability — it's about empowering the next generation to connect with the environment, their health, and their community," said Francisco Leon, President and Chief Executive Officer of California Resources Corporation. "Through our partnership with the Rams on 'Football Without the Footprint,' we are committed to creating lasting environmental impact both on and off the field, and we're proud to work alongside the Rams and EnrichLA to bring this vision to life across Los Angeles."

EnrichLA, a nonprofit that builds, cares for, and teaches in school gardens, also joined the event. With the goal of creating an organic regenerative garden across Los Angeles schoolyards, EnrichLA coordinated the volunteers and ensured the sites were suitable for the long-term sustainability of the gardens. EnrichLA has built over 200 school gardens in just nine years.
"We are so excited to bring and operate our first garden to our students with the help of EnrichLA and the Rams," said Harpreet Hans, Magnet Coordinator of Woodland Hills Academy and Humanities Magnet. "We have built a curriculum around biodiversity, social-emotional learning, and history and purpose of gardens."
The Rams are committed to fostering a sustainable community and utilizing their community outreach to be a leader in social responsibility.
"As part of our partnership with CRC, we were proud to bring in EnrichLA, who are leaders in the school garden space to ensure this investment will be ongoing and the educational opportunities associated with it will be realized," said Molly Higgins, Rams Executive Vice President of Community Impact and Engagement. "Our goal is always to identify like-minded partners interested in social impact and with CRC and EnrichLA, we are excited about the value we will be able to bring to our schools and students."
